Hiking in Hong Kong
If you know Hong Kong only as a metropolis of concrete canyons and neon signs, the notion of hiking here might seem as ludicrous as clubbing at the North Pole or skiing in the Sahara. And yet, Hong Kong is a marvelous place for hiking. Together with Global Citizen, Gecko Adventure* will take you on a trail hike you will never forget.
Hong Kong Island boasts some of the best trails, which are especially good for anyone wanting to give hiking a try. We will take you and your friends on a beautiful hike, which will last two to three hours, and show you some scenic spots you never thought you'd be able to see in Hong Kong. Choose from one of the following hikes depending on your availability and fitness level. We will offer you a memorable hike and experience. 2. Hike will be cancelled in case of bad wheather.
3. Hikers must sign a liability waiver form before attending the hike as hiking has some risks. Please make sure that you are fit enough to hike for at least 1-2 hrs.
*Gecko Adventure has been created by Alain Boulanger (Personal trainer and qualified First Aider) who has been living in Hong Kong for fifteen years. He came to Hong Kong from Australia, expecting to see concrete jungles, but being adventurous, he has discovered many beautiful trails, ranging from gentle family walks to tough long-distance hikes.
